Kannaway is a company that manufactures and markets some of the world’s most important product innovations, sourced from one of the earth’s oldest natural resources – cannabis.

For most of the 20th century, cannabis plants, such as industrial hemp, were widely misunderstood, which lead to many people not seeing the incredible potential it holds. With thousands of practical uses, including wellness, nutrition, fibers, textiles, and environmentally friendly construction materials, Kannaway’s goal is to help make hemp an essential part of commerce and farming once again. With this goal in mind and driven by a small group of hemp pioneers, Kannaway began our journey to bring cannabis solutions back to the world again.

2009

First publicly traded cannabis company in the United States.

First direct sales company to offer cannabis products.

2010

2011

First to establish a global CBD pipeline, making cannabidiol and other beneficial cannabinoids available to people all over the world.

First to deliver CBD cannabis brands across U.S. state lines and international borders. Making cannabidiol available across 50 states and in dozens of countries. First to develop and distribute CBD chewing gum, which led to a US patent for the use of chewing gum as a delivery method for cannabinoids.

2012

2013

First with a license to commercialize the U.S. National Institutes of Health Patent “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants.” Currently hold two license agreements for commercialization. First to develop strict quality standards for cannabis products, including rigorous triple lab testing.

First to deliver prescription CBD products to Epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, chronic pain, and migraine sufferers.

2014

2015

First to offer government subsidized botanical cannabis-based products to Brazil.

First to provide access to medical cannabis products to Paraguay. First to bring medical cannabis CBD based products to Mexico. First ever doctor-prescribed medical cannabis/CBD products to be introduced to Mexican markets. Developed the first ever fully THC-free version of botanical CBD.

First to address the United Nations & World Health Organization about CBD.

First direct sales company to offer CBD products to European markets.
